About this package

Shodhana Chikitsa is a classical Ayurvedic purification programme for individuals seeking deep cleansing, metabolic reset, and rejuvenation. It is especially suitable for those with toxin accumulation, digestive imbalance, low energy, lifestyle-related concerns, poor immunity, stress-related symptoms, or those preparing for long-term wellness and preventive care. The programme begins with Purvakarma, a preparatory phase in which medicated ghee is given in gradually increasing quantities for at least three days to help loosen and mobilise toxins from the tissues. This is followed by a purgation day, when a herbal oral laxative is used to eliminate the mobilised toxins. The duration of this phase is determined by the Vaidya based on the individual's condition and the Preliminary Assessment Form (PAF). The treatment combines personalised Ayurvedic therapies, herbal medicines, therapeutic nutrition, yoga, meditation, and lifestyle guidance to help improve digestion, metabolism, vitality, and internal balance. The Preliminary Assessment Form (PAF) helps our doctors understand the patient's medical condition and overall health. Based on the PAF and consultation with the Vaidya, the treatment plan is tailored individually. While programmes may begin from 14 days, a complete Panchakarma detox generally requires a minimum of 21 days for optimal benefit. Guests with a history of major surgery, chronic medical conditions, allergies, ongoing treatments, or other health concerns are advised to discuss these with the medical team before arrival so the programme can be planned safely and appropriately. Note: Current pricing is based on single occupancy in a Kalari Suite for 14 days. Guests may also opt for twin-sharing accommodation in the same room category, with pricing applicable as per the selected room configuration. Additional accommodation options are available across Kovilakom Suites, Vengunad Suites, and the Royal Library Suite at revised pricing.
