About this package
This experiential session offers an introduction to Traditional Chen Style Tai Chi, combining Taiji warm-ups, Taiji walking, foundational Tai Chi movements, Tai Chi Qi Gong, guided breathing, relaxation, and mindful movement. Participants will explore basic Tai Chi principles while developing greater awareness of balance, coordination, posture, breathing, and movement. With regular and sustained practice, Tai Chi may support healthy stress management, relaxation, flexibility, joint mobility, body awareness, movement efficiency, mind-body connection, mental clarity, and overall vitality. It may also support healthy fascial and connective-tissue function, musculoskeletal integration, and breathing capacity. The session is suitable for beginners, adults, senior citizens, working professionals, corporate teams, and individuals seeking improved mobility, stress management, and overall well-being. No prior Tai Chi experience is required. Important to Know: This is an introductory experiential session and does not include instruction in the complete Taiji 13 Form. Traditional Tai Chi forms require consistent guided practice over approximately 3–4 months. About Chen Zhaosen Taiji School (India Chapter)
Established in 2019, Chen Zhaosen Taiji School (India Chapter) is a Bengaluru-based school dedicated to Chen Style Tai Chi, taught as an internal martial art and holistic mind-body practice. Located in Koramangala, Bengaluru, it operates under the lineage and guidance of Grandmaster Chen Zhaosen. The school was founded and headed by Shifu Avinash Subramanyam, an indoor/home disciple and direct student of Grandmaster Chen Zhaosen. He trained extensively in Chenjiagou, China, in Tai Chi forms and weapons, and was recognized in 2015 as a 12th-generation inheritor of Taijiquan. In 2018, he won two Gold medals at the International Hometown Taiji Competition in Chenjiagou for Taiji and Guan Dao. Classes go beyond basic slow movements, incorporating Tai Chi forms, Qi cultivation and meditation, Chan Si Gong (silk-reeling), internal alignment, martial applications, and power development. Related practices include Health Qi Gong, Dao Yin Yang Sheng Gong, and Lian Gong Shi Ba Fa, supporting movement, body awareness, mindfulness, and internal health. The teaching team includes Priya Crasta, Co-founder and Chief Instructor, with over 15 years of experience in Tai Chi forms and weapons, and Jhanvi Radia, Head Training Instructor, who has trained under Shifu Avinash for over 12 years in Tai Chi, Dao Yin, Lian Gong, and Qi Gong. The centre has conducted programmes for corporates, armed forces and police, and welcomes beginners, experienced practitioners, professionals, families and participants across age groups. In-person and online sessions, including weekend options, are available, along with experiential sessions and customised workshops for organisations, educational institutions, and community groups, tailored to participant profiles, objectives and desired outcomes.
